Organizational Policies

Welcome to Impact Sports. By registering for, attending, participating in, or making use of any Impact Sports programme, event, league, academy, clinic, tournament, facility, or service, you acknowledge and agree to the following: 1. Acceptance of Terms Participation in any Impact Sports activity constitutes acceptance of this policy and any additional rules or regulations applicable to the specific programme or event. 2. Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Participation in sport and related activities involves inherent risks. Participants voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that Impact Sports (including its directors, employees, coaches, officials, volunteers, affiliates, sponsors, partners, and venue providers) shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, accident, loss, theft, or damage to persons or property arising from participation, except where required by applicable law. 3. Medical Responsibility Participants confirm that they are medically fit to participate. Impact Sports may arrange emergency medical assistance where necessary; however, any related costs remain the responsibility of the participant or their parent/legal guardian. 4. Protection of Personal Information (POPIA) Impact Sports processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Personal information is collected and used only for legitimate operational purposes, including registrations, communication, scheduling, competition administration, player development, safeguarding, and other related sporting activities. 5. Photography and Media Consent Unless otherwise requested in writing before participation, participants consent to the use of photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media captured during Impact Sports activities for promotional, educational, historical, and marketing purposes without compensation. 6. Code of Conduct All participants, parents, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators are expected to: Treat others with respect and dignity. Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. Respect officials and their decisions. Refrain from abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour. Protect the reputation and values of Impact Sports. Impact Sports reserves the right to remove or suspend any individual whose conduct is considered unacceptable. 7. Safeguarding Impact Sports is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, particularly children and vulnerable persons. Any form of abuse, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or misconduct will not be tolerated. 8. League, Event, and Programme Rules Participants agree to comply with all rules, regulations, eligibility requirements, and operational procedures applicable to the relevant league, tournament, academy, clinic, or event. Decisions made by organisers and appointed officials are final unless otherwise provided for in the relevant competition rules. 9. Payments and Refunds Registration fees, memberships, bookings, and other payments are subject to the terms applicable to the relevant programme or event. Refunds will be considered only in accordance with the published refund policy or where required by law. 10. Changes and Cancellations Impact Sports reserves the right to amend schedules, venues, programmes, rules, or activities where reasonably necessary, including due to weather, safety concerns, insufficient entries, or circumstances beyond its control. 11. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Impact Sports shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in its activities or the use of its facilities or services. 12. Governing Law This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. 13. Agreement By engaging with any Impact Sports activity or service, participants and, where applicable, their parent or legal guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this General Participation Policy.
